Who out there hosts a vacation rental property? 🖐

I not only host an Airbnb property, I frequently rent them as I’m traveling. And I’ve noticed a common thread of missing items in vacation rental listing photos.

Adding these 3 major things will make your spaces warm, comfortable, and inviting. The soft, beautiful materials will not only complete your spaces and polish your photos, guests will find them incredibly useful!

1.) Area Rugs

Rugs make a statement in any room. A proper sized rug will ground your space and make it feel larger while also adding a soft place for guests to step.

Bonus -  they will also protect your flooring, especially in high traffic areas.

2.) Curtains

Curtains not only frame the windows and accentuate the height of a room; they also add warmth and style.

Give your guests the ability to control the amount of light pouring through the windows with curtains. Your visitors will also appreciate the layer of privacy between their personal space inside your home and the outside world.

If your space needs some personality, try adding curtains with color like one of these:

3.) Throw Pillows & Blankets

One of the easiest and most cost effective wow factors, taking your space from boring to stylish, is throw pillows and blankets.

They serve both an aesthetic and functional purpose as people tend to seek out creature comforts even when away from home.  Whether cozying up on a comfy chair after a busy day, spreading out on the couch for a nap, or snuggling into bed for the night; throw pillows and blankets give guests an added layer of comfort, allowing them to feel like they’re right at home.
